Are you here for my June/July Giveaway? Click here for more info after you have read this post of course :)

Hi everyone! I am back today to share a quick layout with you all that is also my entry into this month’s Lindy Stamp Gang Color Challenge plus the Prima PPP for July. Ok so I cheated a little cause the palette is almost identical but my main entry is for the Lindy Stamp Gang Design Team. After my time with Passion 4 Paper, I was introduced and quickly obsessed with Lindy products! Seriously I own over 50 of their sprays plus a few dozen magicals, shots, and embossing powders to say the least. My obsession grew rapidly and my favourites became evident. I have literally gone through 8 x Creme Brulee Cream Sprays, 6 x Cotton Candy Pinks & 3 x Delphinium Turquoise Blues in the space of a year LOL.

So here is the color challenge for July. I am so excited that Lindy’s now doing challenges cause it’s even more of an excuse to use my lindy stash and buy more yummy goodies. Click here to view the Color Challenge Post on the Lindy Stamp Gang Blog. You can also click here to view the Design Team Call details.

Here is the July Prima PPP Challenge also and you can view the Prima Post here

Here is my layout that I created. This photo is actually a fun christmas day photo which is nice to use such an unusual color palette with.

tn_IMG_3465

The background cardstock has had a few layers of yumminess added. Firstly I have added some Plasters Joint Tape that was cut into random upside cloud like pieces followed by some Modelling paste using an A2Z Scraplets Stencilet randomly and quite thick. Besides the fact that I was in a rush and impatient, i just love how the modelling paste bubbles up when heated with a heat gun. It actually raises even more!

tn_IMG_3466

I have then sprayed some various Lindy Stamp Gang Mists including Starburst Colours, Whale Watch Blue, Autumn Maple Crimson, Delphinium Turquoise, Rudolph’s Nose Red & Flat Fabio Caribbean Blue. I just went a little crazy randomly spritzing colour everywhere until I was happy with them.

tn_IMG_3467

I have then embossed the arrows with Lindy Stamp Gang Angel Wings Jade Emboss Powder. The powder is clear with a fabulous shimmer so it’s hard to see on the photo over the white arrows but it’s soooo much prettier IRL.

tn_IMG_3468

I have folded a large doily in half and sprayed it entirely with Lindy Stamp Gang Starburst Mist Ghostly Gargoyle White. How could I resist adding Lindy’s to everything LOL I often cannot resist.

Next up, I have coloured a bunch of Prima Marketing Flowers using the mists that I had already used on the background and doily. Some of the mists I created pools on my craft sheet, then dipped in the white flowers, some I have  misted and  some I have used a paintbrush and just coloured the tips of petals.

I then decided that I wanted to add some black to the layout so I have used a Sharpie marker and added black to the edges of all the petals randomly and I have coloured some of the background arrows to help them pop.

The patterned paper that I have used for this layout are from the Prima Craftsman Collection. Totally grungey masculine papers but this layout still has the girly soft feminine feel which I love.

I am very excited to have a new tripod in transit with courier today so I can finally start bringing you some fabulous videos! I am very excited and you will have to stay tuned for my regular tutorials.

Until next time, happy scrapping!

Baby Shower Invitations

Are you here for my Jun/July Giveaway? Click here for more info after you have read this post of course 🙂

Hi everyone! I am back to quickly share some invitations that I just made this week for a fabulous lady at church who is expecting her 3rd bubba. With moving etc I thought I wouldn’t get these done in time but alas, I started Thursday night and got them finished yesterday thanks to my beautiful friend Nicole who was here for lunch yesterday and helped me sew the buttons together.

To create these invitations, I have used my Silhouette Cameo to print the details on the inside then to cut the duck shape out. The duck shape came with the beak as a seperate cutout but I decided that I wanted to use it as a wing instead and you can hardly tell it was meant to be a beak right? LOL love improvising as I go.

out for publication - Page 001

The cute eyes are some fabulous Flourish with a Bling Pearls in Chocolate and the patterned paper I have used is from Simple Stories Baby Steps Collection. I chose these papers because they are super cute and fun but also because they are gender neutral. Although there is pink and blues it is very subtle and the gender of this particular baby is not yet known.

The final touches on the ducks was to add some inking around the edges using Ranger Coffee Coloured Archival Ink and then some buttons and twine and voila! 30 gorgeous little ducky Baby Shower Invitations ready to be handed out.

Aren’t they just too cute? I already have another order for Giraffe Baby Shower Invites so keep an eye out for those.

Until next time, happy scrapping!

The background White Cardstock has been decorated using some PanPastels and Lindys Stamp Gang Starburst Stain Mists.

Next step was to add a doily and my photos. I have distressed the edges of my photos using a nail file and added a super cute Studio Calico Paper Clip, some Washi Tape, Heidi Swapp Buzz Word and an awesome Prima Shabby Resin Frame. I have added some colour to the frame using Tim Holtz Distress Inks.

tn_PartyGirlByAmyPrior2

I then went to town adding some flowers. Yes I usually go overboard but is there such thing as too many flowers? LOL I have also added some yummy Flourish with a Bling flourish pieces around the cluster and to the left, there is some lace and Heidi Swapp Banners poking out from underneath.

tn_PartyGirlByAmyPrior4

I then decided to add some Washi Tape, Pink Paislee Artisan Element Circl and a Prima clock to the bottom corner. The Pink Paislee Artisan Element was distressed with some Tim Holtz Distress Ink.

tn_PartyGirlByAmyPrior5

Some added journalling, Prima Baubles, Studio Calico Stars & Sequins and my layout was complete. I added some colour to the Wood Veneer stars using some more Tim Holtz Distress Ink.

Well that is it from me today, I am moving house today YAY so I will be quiet for a few days but don’t forget to check back next week for the announcement of my giveaway and maybe a new giveaway announcement 🙂

Until next time, happy scrapping!

Prima May BAP & Scrapbooking from Scratch May Quote Challenge

If you are here for my giveaway, click here. Only 1 more days to enter!

Hi everyone! I am back to share another quick layout with you all today that I have based on this month’s Prima Marketing BAP Challenge and I have also incorporated the Scrapbooking From Scratch May Quote Challenge  also. Click here to view the Prima May Challenge Blog Post and click here to visit the Scrapbooking From Scratch Gallery to see all this month’s challenges.

Here is the Prima BAP Sketch for the month of May and the Quote over at SFS is “Girlfriends are the sisters we pick out for ourselves”

So here is my take on the sketch and the quote. I actually mucked up the quote a little whoops but it still works. I have used the fabulous Prima Marketing Firefly Collection papers.

tn_The3AmigosByAmyPrior

To add more texture to the background, I have added some Gesso using the Prima Donna Downey Random Dots Stencil and I smudged it a little so I decided to scrape the circles down the page to add a more smeared effect. There is never any mistakes in art LOL. When this was dry, I have dripped some Chalkboard Mists & Lindys Stamp Gang Mists down the page and then stamped some random areas with a Tim Holtz Texture Stamp using some Turquoise Perfect Pearls Powder.

tn_The3AmigosByAmyPrior2

I have used a bunch of Prima Shabby Resin, Flowers, Bling & Alpha for this layout as well as some Prima Donna Downey Canvas Script Flags that I have sprayed with some Chalkboard mists.

tn_The3AmigosByAmyPrior4

I have then added some Gesso to the edges of the Flags, and threaded through some Twine to add the banner over my layout.  I then grabbed some American Crafts Thickers to spell out Amigos and stuck them down to my Ranger Craft Sheet so I could easily sand them back a tad before adhering to my flags using some Ranger Glossy Accents.

tn_The3AmigosByAmyPrior5

I just love how this layout has turned out. Some random smearing of Gesso onto some of the Prima Alpha and a Pink Paislee Mistable Arrow added then my layout was complete. As you can see I have twisted and added to the original sketch a little (the banner was added) .

My adhesives by choice are always Helmar including Scrap Dots, 450 Glue & others.

Well that is it from me today, thanks so much for reading and until next time, happy scrapping!

Berry71Bleu Guest Designer for May

If you are here for my giveaway, click here. Only 3 more days to enter!

Hi everyone! Today I am back to share a layout that I have created as a Guest Designer for Berry71Bleu this month. The challenge was to use the May Once Upon a Time Sketch Challenge as well as incorporate some chipboard so of course I used some A2Z Scraplets on my page. Checkout the Berry71Bleu blog here.

The challenge this month was to play along with the Once Upon A Sketch Challenge but also using some chipboard. Here is the sketch.

I decided to use some 7 Dots Studio Patterned Paper and elements for this layout. To start I have added some texture to a white 12×12 piece of cardstock. To do this, I have used an A2Z Scraplets Masklet with some Viva Decor Pearl Modelling Paste. When this was dry, I have doodled around a couple of the arrows. As you can see, I have used the stencil 2 different ways for a more interesting visual effect.

tn_BirthdayGirlByAmyPrior

To decorate the birthday present A2Z Scraplet Chipboard piece, I have used 4 different shades of Perfect Pearls Powder that were all mixed with some Texture Paste. I made the paste really thick so it would create some fun texture on the chipboard. When this was dry, I have inked the top with some Black Archival Ink.

tn_BirthdayGirlByAmyPrior5

Before I started layering my elements down, I decided I wanted some colour on the background. To do this I have simply splattered some Pink Dylusions Ink as well as some Blue Lindys Stamp Gang Starburst Stain Spray. To create splatters easily, I spray some of the mist into the lid of the bottle and then hold above my page about 30cm and drop. If you want to create a bigger splash go a little further and vice versa.

tn_BirthdayGirlByAmyPrior2

The Birthday Girl Chipboard title was trimmed to fit my layout better and I have coated the letters with some Pearl Viva Decor Modelling Paste very roughly to create lots of texture. I then inked the top with some Black Archival Ink and moved onto the Cupcake Chipboard piece that I had removed. To decorate this I have simply sprayed some Lindys Stamp Gang Starburst Stain Spray over.

tn_BirthdayGirlByAmyPrior3

The last chipboard element, the double photo frames, were coated with some of the fabulous 7 Dots Studio co-ordinating papers and then the edges were sanded back roughly. I have also sanded back the edges of all my layers of paper to add some more white distressing but then I decided to ink around the edges of some of the stickers and embellishments with Archival Black Ink to add some more black distressing to the page.
