Preschool Pic 2013 Berry71Bleu September Challenge

Howdy everybody. I am back today to share a fabulous layout with you all that I have recently created for the Berry71Bleu September Sketch Challenge. The extra requirement for this month’s challenge is to use Mixed Media and you can view the challenge details here on the Berry71Bleu Challenge Blog...

This layout I have created using one of the awesome kits available from A2Z Scraplets which you can find here.

To create my background, I have covered my white cardstock with random shaped and sized paper doilies. I wanted to add lots of subtle texture to the background and I have covered them completely in Mod Podge Matte.

Next I have sprayed some various Lindy Stamp Gang sprays using a Prima Marketing Static Mask. I only sprayed very small sections randomly in 3 different colours. I have then swiped an embossing ink pad over the entire background gently so I grabbed some of the texture and not just covered the lot and then I have sprinkled some Lindy Stamp Gang Embossing Powder over the top and heat set.

The papers that I have used are from the Firefly Collection from Prima Marketing and the flowers are a combination of Flourish with a Bling, Green Tara, Kaisercraft & Prima Marketing. When layering my distressed patterned papers, I have included some ripped and torn cheescloth in between.

I have finished off the layout using some of the torn pieces of cheesecloth placed over my flower clusters and then added some random sequins to match the drips on the sketch.

Here is the sketch from Berry71Bleu this month. Don’t forget to head on over and have a go there are awesome prizes up for grabs always.

Bush Dance Invitations

Hi everyone! I am back today to share a quick project with you all. I seem to be the go to gal for handmade invites lately and everyone from my church and all the school mums are giving me orders LOL it is overwhelming. Today I have some Bush Dance 40th birthday invitations to show you. Ok so I wasn’t 100% sure what a bush dance was but trusty Google jogged my memory and I have come up with these akubra hat invitations using my Silhouette Cameo Machine.

The cardstock that I have used is a variety of Bazzil, Kaisercraft & other brands as you can see, I did not have enough of the same colours so have varied them up a bit but I think they turned out great.

That’s it from me today, I know such a sad little post but I will be back with more tomorrow but until next time, happy scrapping!

Giraffe Baby Shower Invitations

Are you here for my June/July Giveaway? Click here for more info after you have read this post of course :)

Hi everyone! I wanted to come by and quickly share some more super cute baby shower invitations that I have recently made. We have 2 fabulous ladies at church who are due to have babies only a couple of weeks apart so when I made the uber cute duck invitations for Leanee, well Ailish wanted some too LOL. Ailish loves Giraffes so I went and found the cutest Giraffe svg file from http://www.svgcuts.com and got started.

I had to create a card shape for the giraffe to be mounted on and although it isn’t perfect, it did the trick.

I made 45 of these with the help of my fabulous friend Nicole. I actually cut a few corners and ended up having to recut a lot of these. I definately think SVG cuts needs to work on the elements on this file more but overall Ailish was super happy which is all that matters of course.
