The Best Thing About Memories Is Making Them

Are you here for my June/July Giveaway? Click here for more info after you have read this post of course :)

Hi everyone! I hope you are all well, as I busily try to catch up on my Design Team Commitments after the chaos of moving house, I decided to have a quick play with the Scrapbooking From Scratch Quote Challenge this for June hosted by Charmane from Charms Creations.

The Quote is “The Best Thing About Memories Is Making Them”

I decided to use the fabulous Modern Romance Line Papers from Websters Pages and I have used the Clean and Simple sides for my backgrounds and then have fussy cut lots of fabulous flowers to use in my clusters.

In the bottom left corner, I have added some fussy cut flowers alongside a Charms Creation Lollipop, Prima Marketing Ingvild Blome Light Bulb and a fabulous Heidi Swapp Buzz Word.

I have used some American Crafts Thickers alongside some Prima Marketing ABC Stickers for creating my title.

The Background has some subtle masking using Texture Acrylic Paint and the Brocade 12×12 Crafters Workshop Template. I applied the paint with a natural sponge to get an interesting effect.

A Prima Marketing Resin Window, some Prima flowers alongside some Pink Paislee Artisan Elements and the layout was complete.

Overall I would have to say I am not a fan of this layout LOL. I am my own worst critic I know but I went way off track with my original plan and the page suffered.

Thanks so much for checking out my blog and don’t forget to leave me some love .

Until next time, happy scrapping!

Baby Shower Invitations

Are you here for my Jun/July Giveaway? Click here for more info after you have read this post of course 🙂

Hi everyone! I am back to quickly share some invitations that I just made this week for a fabulous lady at church who is expecting her 3rd bubba. With moving etc I thought I wouldn’t get these done in time but alas, I started Thursday night and got them finished yesterday thanks to my beautiful friend Nicole who was here for lunch yesterday and helped me sew the buttons together.

To create these invitations, I have used my Silhouette Cameo to print the details on the inside then to cut the duck shape out. The duck shape came with the beak as a seperate cutout but I decided that I wanted to use it as a wing instead and you can hardly tell it was meant to be a beak right? LOL love improvising as I go.

The cute eyes are some fabulous Flourish with a Bling Pearls in Chocolate and the patterned paper I have used is from Simple Stories Baby Steps Collection. I chose these papers because they are super cute and fun but also because they are gender neutral. Although there is pink and blues it is very subtle and the gender of this particular baby is not yet known.

The final touches on the ducks was to add some inking around the edges using Ranger Coffee Coloured Archival Ink and then some buttons and twine and voila! 30 gorgeous little ducky Baby Shower Invitations ready to be handed out.

Aren’t they just too cute? I already have another order for Giraffe Baby Shower Invites so keep an eye out for those.

Until next time, happy scrapping!
