Giraffe Baby Shower Invitations

Are you here for my June/July Giveaway? Click here for more info after you have read this post of course :)

Hi everyone! I wanted to come by and quickly share some more super cute baby shower invitations that I have recently made. We have 2 fabulous ladies at church who are due to have babies only a couple of weeks apart so when I made the uber cute duck invitations for Leanee, well Ailish wanted some too LOL. Ailish loves Giraffes so I went and found the cutest Giraffe svg file from http://www.svgcuts.com and got started.

I had to create a card shape for the giraffe to be mounted on and although it isn’t perfect, it did the trick.

I made 45 of these with the help of my fabulous friend Nicole. I actually cut a few corners and ended up having to recut a lot of these. I definately think SVG cuts needs to work on the elements on this file more but overall Ailish was super happy which is all that matters of course.

Baby Shower Invitations

Are you here for my Jun/July Giveaway? Click here for more info after you have read this post of course 🙂

Hi everyone! I am back to quickly share some invitations that I just made this week for a fabulous lady at church who is expecting her 3rd bubba. With moving etc I thought I wouldn’t get these done in time but alas, I started Thursday night and got them finished yesterday thanks to my beautiful friend Nicole who was here for lunch yesterday and helped me sew the buttons together.

To create these invitations, I have used my Silhouette Cameo to print the details on the inside then to cut the duck shape out. The duck shape came with the beak as a seperate cutout but I decided that I wanted to use it as a wing instead and you can hardly tell it was meant to be a beak right? LOL love improvising as I go.

The cute eyes are some fabulous Flourish with a Bling Pearls in Chocolate and the patterned paper I have used is from Simple Stories Baby Steps Collection. I chose these papers because they are super cute and fun but also because they are gender neutral. Although there is pink and blues it is very subtle and the gender of this particular baby is not yet known.

The final touches on the ducks was to add some inking around the edges using Ranger Coffee Coloured Archival Ink and then some buttons and twine and voila! 30 gorgeous little ducky Baby Shower Invitations ready to be handed out.

Aren’t they just too cute? I already have another order for Giraffe Baby Shower Invites so keep an eye out for those.

Until next time, happy scrapping!
